TIPS FOR THE CANDIDATES A NIGHT BEFORE THE EXAM

As the July 2019 exam is approaching, so in today’s blog we will be discussing some tips for the candidates that they should follow just one night before the exam.

Some of these tips include:

Eat healthy:

Giving brain power requires a good meal. Prepare a good meal for yourself one night before the exam. Sit with your family and enjoy the meal by taking break from your study routine and help your brain refueling for the exam.

Do not study till late at night:

Studying till late night is not a good choice especially one night before the exam. It may seem to you that you are using your time wisely, but if you don’t give a break to your breain from study you might have to face a hard time concentrating and remembering during the exam.

Revise your notes thoroughly:

Use the night before the test for simple revision. You shouldn’t be tackling anything brand new the night before your test. Instead, review the study notes you have created during your study sessions over the past few days.

Prepare for the morning:

Gather all the important materials you require for the exam such as: notes, handouts, quizzes, book, projects; lay them neatly in a way that makes sense to you. Organize the material according to your convenience either in a chronological order, or in some other way that works. You can use color-coded highlighters or stacks of note cards. The point is that there's no one way to organize you must find the system that helps you make connections with the material.

Give your brain some break from the exam:

Take some time before bed to put away your study notes and relax. Read a book, write in a journal, or talk to your family. This will help you wind down before bed, making it easier to get a good night’s sleep so your brain can process the information you spent the evening reviewing.

Get a good sleep:

Sleep, particularly deep sleep, is very important for memory formation. New connections between the brain cells form while you are sleeping, creating memories from your day. In order to reach the optimal number of cycles of memory-promoting deep sleep, aim to get a full eight hours before the big day. Make it a practice to get a good night’s rest after any intense day of learning and studying, as that will help your brain to retain as much information as possible.

Set your alarm:

Set your alarm so you don’t oversleep the morning of your test. Give yourself some extra time in the morning to eat a good breakfast and get ready for the day without feeling rushed.

Get some exercise:

Consider taking moderately strenuous exercise, such as a brisk walk, in the days leading up to your exam (and even all term), as regular exercise can help you in refreshing yourself. Exercise also decreases pre-exam stress and anxiety and improves quality of sleep.

I hope the above mentioned points mentioned in our blog will be helpful to the candidates appearing in the upcoming exam.
