KEEP CALM: RESULTS ARE JUST NUMBERS


Results day is a big day in the life of students with hopes of progressing onto the next step in their education. It can be an extremely scary time so it’s vital you remember to look after yourself, both mentally and physically, in the running up to results day. 

As results of the MRCOG exam is approaching, the stressful condition is also increasing among candidates. 

So, appropriate steps should be adopted by the candidates to avoid anxious and stressful conditions. Students can follow some of the tips provided below just before their result day:

  • Spend a quiet time with yourself such as go for a walk alone or listen to some music alone.
  • Do not compare your answers with your friends after the exam. 
  • Visit your friend who hasn’t given the exam; this will help you calm your mind and distract yourself from the result pressure.
  • Do not ruminate about your performance again and again as it will not be helpful to you in any way.
  • Pamper yourself such as go shopping, go for parties, read your favorite book, visit your favorite cafe.
  • Do some exercises which can help you reduce fatigue, improve alertness and concentration, and enhance overall cognitive function.
  • Eat healthy and balanced diet
  • Do not panic by thinking negative thoughts; in case you do not pass in the exam then you can appear in exams again the next year and achieve a better result.
  • Try to avoid social media and sites 
  • If you did well in the results, then celebrate. If you feel you could have done better, there are many ways to improve.
