Few more facts and myths related to Covid-19

In our previous blog, we discussed about few facts and myths about the pandemic. From hot shower bath to hot or humid weather condition’s effect, we tried to bring and present the actual myths going around all through the social media. Let’s continue discussing more-

• Let’s discuss whether we can eat non-veg or not. Eating raw non- vegetarian food is not recommended whereas if we are having completely cooked non- vegetarian food, this could prevent the transmit of the virus.
• We also have the doubt of the spread of the virus through pets. Touch, lick and bite would never transmit covid-19. Also, mosquito bite and housefly are unlikely to spread the virus.
• We came across several myths about the possible vaccine for Covid-19. But to be very clear there is no vaccine available till date. Many social platforms spread the rumour and created the big myth about the use of chloroquine and hydroxyl-chloroquine for the flu treatment. Prohibit the usage of antibiotics as it will do no good to you instead it may harm you. As per the Honorable Government of India and ICMR, the usage of both the drugs Chloroquine and hydroxyl-chloroquine is not recommended for mass usage of people as of 31 march 2020. It is only recommended for health care worker or covid positive patient at home.
• Air and sunlight being the natural and sustainable sources are recommended. One should let the fresh air come in and windows of the homes could help in well-ventilation. Antiseptic properties of sun and the exposure to Sunlight helps to prevent from the adverse transmit f Covid19. Towels, bedsheets, clothes must be kept in the direct sunlight as the very natural resource would not harm us at any cost.
• Not all people are recommended to be tested for covid19. Testing should be done as per the suggested guidelines of the Honorable Government of India, not everyone who has flu like symptoms is required to be tested.
• People should be quarantined if they are suspected to be the positive patient and they should be isolated if they are confirmed positive. In both of the cases, they must not be boycotted. Everyone’s support would help to eradicate this pandemic.
